PERRYSBURG

John R. Bouquin age 40 of Perrysburg passed away unexpectedly at home Tuesday April 2, 2024 leaving the family devastated

John was born in Gowanda, October 19, 1983 the son of Timothy A. and Deborah (Gleason) Bouquin.

A 2003 graduate of Gowanda Central School After graduation he enlisted with the United States Marine Corps honorably serving his country doing 2 tours in Iraq.

John married Jessica J. (Mosher) Bouquin . Together they have three children ; Calvin E. Bouquin, Rowan A. Bouquin and Farrah P. Bouquin.

Besides his parents of Gowanda John is survived by a brother Jacob (Ona) Bouquin of Gowanda an Uncle Charles (Carla) Gleason of Raleigh, NC , his in-laws Ricky and Anita Mosher of South Dayton, a sister in-law Crystal Bruyer of South Dayton ; brother in-law Ricky J. Mosher Jr. of South Dayton nieces and nephews ; Zachary, Tyler, Kaylee, Talon, Rayne, Sage, Nailo, Kiera, Keira, Raven and Robin.

John was preceded in death by a brother Arthur J. (Wife Michelle living) Bouquin Arthur passed away in 2023. His maternal grandparents Charles and Louise Gleason, and his paternal grandparents Arthur and Frieda Bouquin .

Injuries sustained during his tours in Iraq left John disabled , his dedication to serving with the United States Marine Corps was done with honor and love of his country and freedom. John was a gun enthusiasts he was an outdoorsman, fishing and hunting . He was a loving daddy to his children . John was a member of Phoenix Lodge No. 262 of Gowanda and a member of the James Cruden VFW Post 5007 in Gowanda . More so John was a friend to many and a man of character to help anyone in need. John was also a member of the Pine Valley Rod and Gun Club where he served as the club’s Vice President .

Friends may call Sunday April 7, 2024 from 2:00-5:00pm at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda . Phoenix Lodge # 262 of Gowanda will hold a prayer service at 4:45 followed by a funeral service with full Military Honors at the close of hours at 5pm on Sunday .

The family has a go fund me account set up to help Jessica with the long , difficult days ahead . This fund may be found by going to www.gofundme.com set up by Jessica Capozzi to help Jesssica Bouquin raise their 3 children ( the oldest 8 years old) as a widow and single parent. These funds will help take the stress off the family offering support with the daily expenses . Please find it in your heart to contribute to this cause. The Bouquin’s “ new normal” is going to be a difficult time for the road ahead.
